Though
Scarlet is a composer and performer in her own right,
she has made vital contributions to Bob Dylan's Desire and
Hard Rain albums, Dylan's World of John Hammond Special for NBC,
his film Renaldo and Clara, and several cuts on Dylan's
Biography and The Bootleg Series. Scarlet is featured on
Keb Mo's The Door, Tracy Chapman's Crossroads; Stanley Clarke's
Just Family: David Johnson's Funky but Chic; Paraphenalia by
Peacock Palace; Head Like A Rock by Ian McNabb, Sounds of the
Rain Forest by Scott Fitzgerald and has toured with German
superstar Peter Maffay.
As a solo artist, Scarlet is an innovator on violin-she composes
and original style of music, rich in melody and texture.
In collaboration with Tommy Eyre on Behind The Crimson Veil,
Scarlet realized the fullest expression of their combined
musical potential and delivers an exotic blend of music with
performances from the searing to the sublime.
Scarlet has toured with Bob Dylan, The indigo Girls, Tracy
Chapman, The Duke Ellington Orchestra and others. In 1994
she recorded her fifty solo album, Behind the Crimson Veil, a
European release on Erdenklang Records. She
previously recorded Journey With An Angel of Polygram
International Records, followed by the CD Live in Montreaux, as
well as two Warner Brother releases. Her group has
performed in concert halls and major festivals in the USA,
Europe and Japan.
